“Cool kids? If you think usin’ social media makes you cool nowadays, you might be a bit off track.” Adona snickers as she whips out her phone. “Well, Instagram is pretty popular… for coffee pictures and other fun dumb shit. Then there’s Twitter for gawking at strangers on the internet with no fear of being tracked down, YouTube for mostly shit videos and the occasional good content, and… Facebook is defunct, no use counting that.”     Adona pauses, head facing the screen; her eyes roll upwards to get a better dance at Jael. Had she any brows, she would’ve raised them in wonder.     “Snapchat and TikTok are popular, too. I’d dare say the “trendiest” ones of the last few months… Though I’d advise keeping any dignity you might still have, even if little. Those apps are a shame machine.”

“Salice, sorry to burst your bubble, but I’m afraid you can’t vent out your sexual frustration with ant documentaries. It’s not gonna work. Neither is your plan to own an entire anthill.”

     “Ants are less time-consuming, and it saves me a good bunch of clothes and sheets to wash. Plus, having sex is sweaty, and a lottery bet. Could be good the same way it could be terrible. Ant documentaries? Are free, intriguing, and always entertaining. The content is up to par with the premise.”

     “... And that’s why you don’t try and blow some steam off? Y’know, for a woman that often whines about having no time to dedicate to relaxing, you sure know how to do nothing but sit in front of a TV for hours on end to watch ants. Where do you get that muscle, even? Is all’a that seriously just from fights?” poke poke poke.

     “Don’t---touch me!” slaps her hand away, “Can’t you see?!” Salice gestures at the TV, “They’re stacking food for winter! Mo’ lasciami in pace. Questa è roba seria!”

     “... I said it once and I won’t repeat it. No wonder you’ve always got a stick up your ass. E ovviamente non puoi che essere veneziana, testarda come sei.”

“Today’s newsflash is that my ass is popping in these yoga leggings, and that’s that. By the way, you have a ketchup stain on your shirt. Need a tissue to clean that up? Or would you rather keep walkin’ around like you just murdered someone?” a beat.      “Anyway, ain’t it? I need validation to feel content with my appearance, so your opinion is very important to me.” (she doesn’t need that, and it isn’t. She’s talking for the sake of talking.) “Is it popping? Or is it whack?” Adona pats her butt as she speaks.

Adona quietly waited for him to find his words---surprised that she’d found, for once, someone that didn’t seem particularly averse to her casual affections. Violet-tinted lips curled in an amused smile whilst she curiously observed Alex, and once he’d made his inquiry, gentle laughter erupted bubbled from her throat, pulling Alex just a tad closer as she answered:      “Oh, you’d even buy me a drink? You’re a gentleman, alright. One of a kind!” it wasn’t even her objective in first place, but she was definitely not the kind of woman to reject such a kind offer. While she wasn’t exactly poor, she didn’t have, half the time, enough money to pay off all the alcohol she regularly ingested. One index raised to poke his cheek, softly probing at it with playful intention. “I’m Adona, darlin’. You can give me whatever nickname, though, I won’t mind either way~” she paused, stopping her poking to tilt her head to the side; just to get a better look. “What about you, hm? After all, I ought’a know the name of a kind soul so willing to offer me something.”

Adona’s usual slack and bored expression immediately lights up once she notices a crow in the not too far distance. It’s not unusual for her mind to wake up from its typically dormant state when she happens to scourge corvids in her surroundings---but it is still altogether quite the odd spectacle, for those who do and don’t know her both. She abruptly stops in her walk (a few passerbys grumbling as they bump into her), contemplatively observing the bird as it rummages through a trash can; dark maroon hues look at the discount sandwiches she’s bought not long ago tucked into the plastic bag at hand, then at the crow again. For once, she smiles out of excitement, and not with devilish intent.      Her child-like enthusiasm isn’t deterred by the fact that this crow seems to be a little bigger than usual---a whole big boy, Adona thinks as she breaks the sandwiches free of their plastic container. Russian salad filling... she knows she likes it, and she can just hope it will as well. A fairly-sized morsel is then offered, and she attempts to catch the bird’s attention by snapping her fingers a few times. Here, I’ve got some food for you.

“Hey, doesn’t this place suck ass? Why not ditch it with me?” her arm casually slings around the other’s shoulders, little to not at all caring about crossing any boundaries. Surprisingly enough, she’s not yet drunk---though it’s not easy as to guess why, considering the whack DJ, dull crowd, and (in her humble opinion) stupidly high drinking fees. An index reaches to poke at their cheek, “I know a waaaay better place not far from here. And you seem bored outta your mind, too. Aren’t you?” a confident smirk curls her lips as she eventually puts her hand on her hip, an expectant look in her eyes.      “Don’t worry, I won’t take you into a dark shady alley or anythin’---I just wanna have some proper fun. Besides, I wouldn’t ever think of hurtin’ a cutie like you~”

“Wellllll, darling, how about you an’ I share a little somethin’ somethin’.” Adona sleazily laces her arm around the other’s shoulders, carelessly invading their personal space---surprisingly enough, she’s not drunk, but that doesn’t make whatever she might have in mind any less suspicious. Slowly, she leans her face closer to their ear,      “Pinch me.”
